Latin America's consumer finance applications have demonstrated significant user engagement in the first quarter of 2024. This analysis, courtesy of Sensor Tower, provides a snapshot of the performance of the top five consumer finance apps on a unified platform, encompassing both iOS and Android data.

Nubank - Conta e Cartão showed a robust trend in downloads, starting the quarter with over 1M and peaking at 1.4M in mid-February before dipping slightly to under 1M by the end of March. Weekly active users remained high, starting at approximately 54M and reaching a high of nearly 58M in mid-February, maintaining a generally upward trend throughout the quarter.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital also experienced a steady download pattern, initiating the quarter with downloads around 690K and peaking at nearly 747K in the second week of January. Weekly active users for Mercado Pago started at over 31M, with a peak of over 34M in early March, indicating a consistent rise in user activity.

PicPay: Conta, Cartão e Pix observed a fluctuating download trend, commencing the year with around 428K downloads and reaching its highest at approximately 473K in mid-March. The weekly active users for PicPay showed growth from around 12M to over 13M in the first quarter, showcasing a steady increase in engagement.

Banco Santander Brasil had a consistent download pattern, with the numbers hovering around 300K to 350K throughout the quarter. The weekly active users began at about 15M and saw a slight fluctuation, ending the quarter just under that mark.

BBVA México downloads started the quarter strong at approximately 286K, peaking at 342K towards the end of January, and then gradually declining to around 252K by the end of March. Weekly active users for BBVA México showed an upward trend from 12M to over 13M in late February, before closing the quarter at around 12M.
